Develop Consulting wins major NHS contract to improve General Practice

23 Jan 2020

Develop Consulting is delighted to announce a major new national contract to support NHS England in the implementation of efficiency improvements within General Practice.

The project, known as Productive General Practice Quick Start, forms part of NHS England’s ‘Time for Care’ programme, and has been available to England’s 7,000 general practices over the past three years, with more than 2,000 taking part. The new contract plans to extend support to a further 2,000 practices over three years.

“It’s great news for our team. We know how important this support is to general practice at the moment and with national media continuing to take a larger interest in their work, this is a great opportunity to show what can be done” says Commercial Director, Max Pardo-Roques.

The contract, will see Develop Consulting working directly in practices to help design and implement new processes to support more efficient working. With the equivalent of more than 1.2m appointment slots already released as a result of the programme, as well as considerable ongoing challenges for practices of all sizes, there is a strong demand for further support.

Steve Boam, Develop Consulting CEO, said “Although we work for some big brand names in our manufacturing sector, the work we do in general practice is probably making the biggest impact to the daily lives of practice staff and the general patient population. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with NHS England on delivering such an important programme.”
