The start of the journey. We often hear our clients saying ‘We know we could be more efficient, but we don’t know where to start or where the biggest savings are’. An opportunity search is a structured in-depth look at the
organisation to find those efficiencies and understand their potential impact.
Good governance allows you to understand whether your projects are on track, identify risks and issues, and provide support for those that aren’t. Our governance approach is based upon PMO and is rooted in our Toyota heritage, where the performance of all projects, suppliers and production was known at all times. It is our belief that governance should be engaging and integral to the work your people are doing, supported by software
As one of the busiest and most challenging hospital departments, it’s essential that processes are well thought out and structured so the right patients are being seen at the right time and to release the maximum possible patient contact time. Using your data and working with you, we take a structured approach to Emergency Department improvement that’s bespoke to your organisations needs and puts your team at the heart of change.
URGENT & EMERGENCY CARE
Sustainability is the key to successful implementation of any change programme. We work with our clients to equip you with essential skills and knowledge needed to embed long-term solutions. Our approach significantly increases the likelihood of the changes we implement being sustained. Our training capability is a core service we offer and is an integral element to transformation programmes
TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER
As the heart of the hospital, theatres are one of the most expensive departments to run and performance can vary significantly across a health economy. Working directly with your team, we review theatre capacity and demand before focus on improving the entire patient flow from scheduling, theatre usage and recovery management to best manage costs whilst
improving patient care.
As co-authors of the NHS Institute’s ‘Productive Ward’ programme, we’ve spent more than ten years looking at improving patient flow on hospital wards. Typically we support improvements in ward based processes that enhance clinical team working, resulting in proactive, timely and safe discharge.
There are four areas we consider to be the biggest opportunities for improvement within Outpatients:
• Demand and Capacity
• Referral and Booking
• Pathway Redesign
• Arrival and Consultation
We work with clients to design and implement a model that maximises efficiency and patient flow, prevent delays and yield genuine improvement for the patient, clinical team and wider organisation.
It is widely recognised that patient outcomes improve outside of an acute setting. We work with clients to ensure the flow between discharge and community care is streamlined. Our approach is to maximise the efficiency of community services, optimise capacity and increase quality through an evidence based analysis and targeted improvements through engagement with clinical teams.
Diagnostics and medicines management are services that can directly impact patient waiting times and clinical outcomes. We work with clients to decrease waiting times, improve productivity, eliminate waste and increase communication between these departments and the wider acute environment.
Supporting General Practice to make Fast, Practical Improvements over a condensed period. Our team has been involved in developing and delivering programmes on a national scale to help practices release capacity and efficiency improvements across their functions.
